// why beaam
Everything you'd reasonably want to check before pointing a monitoring tool at your production stack.
compare
Powerful, wrong shape. Per-host pricing punishes a distributed indie stack, and you have to become an SRE to extract the value.
compare
A 200 response is not "working". Uptime tools can't see a Lambda error rate, a webhook backlog or replica lag — and never correlate across them.
evidence
No invented customer logos or fabricated uptime numbers. What is actually verified, and what is not yet.
trust
How credentials are encrypted, why the watchdog runs on a separate cloud account, and what happens to your data when you leave.
questions
The things people ask before signing up, answered without marketing hedging.
cost
Free, or $19/month flat. No per-host maths, no per-alert metering, no seat count.
Worth saying plainly, because finding out later is expensive. Beaam is not for you if you have a dedicated SRE or DevOps function and want deep configurability — we deliberately don't build the knobs. It's not for you if you need SOC 2, SSO or an audit trail on day one. And if all you need is "is my marketing site up?", a free uptime pinger already does that well; you don't need us.
Beaam is for the technical founder running a real product on a handful of services, with no one to delegate monitoring to, who has been burned by both a false alarm and a missed incident.
