Beaam is made by Teqnyk — one person, for people in the same position.
A solo founder ships a product on a handful of services. At 2am a Stripe webhook starts failing because a Lambda is erroring under load, because a database has replica lag from one bad query. The phone stays quiet. They find out at 9am from a customer email, and spend the morning apologising for something that was broken for seven hours.
Every tool that could have caught it exists. CloudWatch saw the Lambda. Atlas saw the lag. Stripe saw the webhooks. None of them talk to each other, and none of them knew that together they were an incident.
The alternative — a real observability platform — asks the founder to become a monitoring engineer first. Define hosts, write rules, build dashboards, tune thresholds. That is a job, and it is precisely the job they were trying not to have.
Beaam is built on the idea that for this user, curation beats configurability. A short list of things genuinely worth waking up for, decided well, beats a hundred rules you never tuned. That is why there is no rule builder, and why most collected metrics stay quiet by default.
It also means the product is measured by an unusual metric: how rarely it speaks. Most monitoring tools compete on how much they show you. Beaam competes on how much it lets you ignore.
Beaam is built and operated by Teqnyk Ltd — the company named in the terms and on your receipt. Teqnyk is one founder. That has consequences worth stating plainly rather than dressing up.
What you get: a direct line — support@beaam.app reaches the person who wrote the code. No tier-one script. Feature requests genuinely reorder the roadmap. And a product with a single coherent opinion, because there is nobody to compromise with.
What you should weigh: Beaam is young. There is no SOC 2, no 24/7 staffed desk, and no long track record. The mitigation is architectural rather than promised — the watchdog runs on a separate cloud account so Beaam failing is not the same as your monitoring failing, and the proof page states only what has actually been verified.
Every feature is a capability reachable identically from the web app, the API, the CLI and an assistant over MCP — one implementation, four surfaces, so nothing is a second-class citizen. Integrations are plugins behind a shared interface, which is why a new provider arrives with charts, thresholds and alerting already working. The decisions are written down as ADRs, including the ones that turned out wrong.
Nearer term: more of the stack solo founders actually deploy on. 14 providers connect today; Firebase, Fly.io, Google Cloud, Railway and Render are next. Longer term, the interesting direction is bring-your-own telemetry: you already export OpenTelemetry, and the hard part was never collecting it, it was deciding what deserves your attention.
What will not change is the flat price and the refusal to meter monitoring. A tool that charges more when you watch more is arguing against its own purpose.
