Curated deliberately: a short list worth your attention, not every metric that exists. Signals that can blip need repeated evidence before Beaam calls them; a reading that is definitive by nature — the provider reporting a failure outright — alerts on the first observation.

What connecting needs
- An hPanel API token. Hostinger has no read-only scope, so the token carries your own hPanel permissions; Beaam only sends read requests.
- There is no sign-in option: Hostinger's OAuth only accepts redirects to the user's own machine.
- Docker, malware scanning, snapshots, backups and the firewall may not exist on a given VPS. Beaam reads that as unavailable, not as a revoked token.
What Beaam will not tell you
Stated rather than discovered later. Some of these are deliberate — an alert that is not about your system is noise — and some are simply where this integration's view ends.
- Hostinger's API describes a VPS, not whether your site answers. Beaam offers a one-click HTTP check of each website's domain; website availability belongs to that check.
- A disk 90% full alerts; memory is charted but does not, because Linux fills spare RAM with cache. Both are percentages of your plan, and a VPS whose plan size Hostinger does not report shows neither.
- An intentional stop, a missing firewall or scanner, traffic and reboots are collected but off by default.
- If Beaam cannot read your VPS's telemetry, that is shown as Beaam's problem — degraded only after 10 failures in a row — never as your VPS being down.

Beaam never writes to Hostinger. Credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key held as a deploy secret, and are deleted immediately when you disconnect.

Does Beaam need write access to Hostinger?
No. Beaam only ever performs read operations — there is no code path that writes to a connected provider. Worth separating from that: what Beaam *does* and what a token *permits* are different things. Where Hostinger offers a read-scoped credential, use it; some providers only issue tokens carrying broader rights than Beaam uses, which is a property of their API rather than of Beaam's behaviour. Scope it as narrowly as the provider allows. Credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage and deleted the moment you disconnect.
